BECOME A BERARD AIT PRACTITIONER
 

Berard AIT Practitioners are needed world-wide! There are many places around the world where Berard AIT is not available to the thousands of individuals who are in need. Parents are often frustrated in their efforts to provide this important intervention for their child when they can not access a practitioner. If you are a professional involved in the field of developmental disabilities, becoming a Berard AIT Practitioner will enable you to provide a valuable service to your clients and will give you years of satisfying reward for your work!

Professionals from many fields associated with developmental disabilities are involved in Berard AIT including:


  • occupational therapists
  • speech/language therapists
  • special educators
  • psychologists
  • physicians
  • developmental therapists, etc.
  • audiologists
Qualification Criteria

Professionals must meet one of the following criteria in order to qualify for participation in Berard AIT professional seminars.

  • Hold a Master's degree in speech/language pathology, audiology, special education, or related field; OR

  • Hold a current license as a Registered Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Psychologist; OR
  • Hold a doctoral degree in medicine, speech/language pathology, audiology or a related field; OR
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a related field with actual "on-the-job" experience with individuals with special needs for five years or more.

Seminar Topics

Berard Professional Seminars are offered by Berard Approved Instructors in locations around the world. The seminars include information such as:

  • client evaluations and intake

  • audio testing requirements
  • AIT procedures (interpreting audio tests, selecting filters, selecting music, operation of device, client cooperation, etc.)
  • parent consultation
  • data collection and analysis
  • aftercare consultation
  • research studies
  • overview of other sound interventions
  • professional practice considerations
